Lower Gallery
This Lower Gallery is a bright and airy contemporary space. This gallery offers a varied and imaginative programme of touring and one-off exhibitions. Massive sculptures can give way to delicate works on paper, contemporary murals or imposing floor to ceiling installations. The fascinating artworks on display are always a great conversation piece for your guests.
We suggest viewing the current exhibition programme to see if there is a show that will suit the mood and atmosphere of your event or celebration. Depending on the exhibits on display, drinks can also be served in this area.
Upper Gallery
In contrast to the contemporary Lower Gallery, the Upper Gallery is a lofty, elegant and traditional. It houses works of art from the permanent collection, including a copy of the Parthenon frieze which adorns three of the walls. It is accessed via a grand staircase or lift and adjoins a circular Rotunda.
When hiring the Upper Gallery, guests may be served drinks in the Rotunda, before moving into the beautifully displayed gallery to socialise.
Please note that only clear drinks may be consumed in the Upper Gallery.
