Services & Suppliers

At all our venues, customers can choose their own suppliers (see our FAQs for details). The only exception is catering at the Roman Baths & Pump Room, where you are required to use our highly experienced caterer, Searcys.

Our services and suppliers list includes only businesses that have worked at our venues at least twice and received positive client references. We do not have commission arrangements with our listed suppliers, allowing us to genuinely recommend them based on their familiarity with the venue and their proven good service.

We encourage all of our customers to consider the environment when choosing suppliers and where possible, to source those local to Bath.

For legal marriages and partnerships it is your responsibility to give notice of marriage to your local authority and to book your ceremony with Bath & North East Somerset Council's Register Office. Please be aware you must also organise for two witnesses to be present at your ceremony.

Below is a selection of questions frequently asked about events in our historic and unique venues.

Do I need to provide public liability insurance?

Can we choose our own band, AV etc?

Do you provide the registrar for wedding ceremonies?

Guidance notes

Please inform your guests in advance that the floors in many of the rooms are wooden and highly polished and the wearing of metal tipped stilettos is discouraged.
The stone pavements around the Roman Baths are very uneven and guests should be reminded to take particular care.
For security reasons, please inform us in advance of any VIPs attending your event.
We ask that you help to ensure that all guests attending the event behave appropriately.

Please note that due to the historic nature of the venues, there are some restrictions. We do not allow the following within the buildings:

Helium balloons
Dry ice or smoke machines
Sparklers and indoor fireworks
Silly string and spray snow
Bucking broncos or similar
Ice sculptures
Liquid Bubbles

Confetti and bouquets must be thrown outside the curtilage of our venues only please.
